Franklands Farm is located on 80 acres of woodland on the banks of the Saint Lawrence River. The stable is home to many sale horses and horses in training, and is home to Franklands Equine Services Ltd. and Olympian Gina Smith.

The lush woodland of Franklands Farm is ideal for hacking and is a serene environment for both horse and rider. The riders are encouraged to hack out on the property as a warm-up for their training, or as a relaxing break for both horse and rider.

The stable has eight stalls inside the barn and eight stalls where the horses look out into the back courtyard.  Feeding is done on an individual basis, and we take great care that each horse's requirements are met.  The horses are fed four times per day and closely monitored for health and wellness. There is a separate coffee room / office for the boarders in training. Horses are monitored carefully to ensure optimal health. Top rehabilitation facilities are available, including ultrasound.

The grass paddocks are fenced with split rails and horses enjoy daily turnout. Many of the competition horses are hand grazed in place of turn out.

The farm has a 20mx60m indoor arena with sand/shavings footing,  heated in the winter,  and with large windows that open during the summer months. The viewing area is heated so that spectators can watch in comfort the horses being trained. There is also a large outdoor sand ring for use in the summer months.

The working students' quarters are attached to the barn and have four bedrooms with full kitchen, laundry, dining, and living rooms.

Franklands Farm is dedicated to providing a productive and enjoyable environment for both horses and riders, and will continue their tradition of supporting the pursuit of excellence in equine sport well into the 21st century.
